“We all have the same 24 hours.”
I know you’ve heard that line before—and honestly? I hate when people say it. Total eye-roll moment. 🙄Technically, yes, we all get 24 hours in a day...
But the way those hours feel?
The way they’re lived?
Totally different. We all process life differently. We all walk through different seasons.
We have different responsibilities, and wildly different circumstances. So no—it’s not just about the 24 hours.
The real question is: What are you filling your time with?If you’re anything like me, your brain is bursting with ideas, dreams, responsibilities, and the God-given drive to live in productivity and action.
I don’t run from that—I dive into it.
P.S. Once you fully accept who you are, life starts to feel limitless.
I run a successful coaching practice.
We’ve got four older kids—three in their 20s and one who’s homeschooled.
We run a homestead with gardens, raised beds, rows of veggies, and adorable ducks.
We’re avid canners, stacking shelves full of the food we grow.
We build, plan, paint, and rip up floors as a family.
My husband works full-time. I run a business.
And yes—I take Fridays off and protect my peaceful mornings like my life depends on it.
Our life is full.
Some weeks are full throttle.
But that’s exactly why we’ve learned to protect our white space even more.

I grew up in it. I’ve taken on some of the hardest chaos you can imagine.
Solving problems? That’s my jam. Put me in a chaotic situation and I shine.
I know how to function in it. But here’s what most people don’t understand:
Just because you can handle chaos doesn’t mean you should live in it.
And I don’t.
I create my own schedule—and I’m in charge of it.
My schedule is not in charge of me.
I sip coffee on the deck with my husband.
We walk daily. We eat dinner together every night.
We have real conversations. I hang out with my kids.
I volunteer at church. I coach leaders, entrepreneurs, and business owners.
Yes, I juggle. But I focus only on what matters—and I release the rest.
To be 100% present in all that I do.
Some days that’s hard.
Most days, it’s a stretch.
So here’s what I tell myself (and now, I’m telling you):
👉 One day at a time.
👉 One decision at a time.
👉 One boundary at a time. One “no.” One bold “yes.”
Or, dive in full force if that’s you.
Guess what? It’s your life. You get to decide.
Take a stand for your white space.
Control your time—don’t let your time control you.
Some people look at me sideways trying to figure out how I do it all—dropping rude comments or side talk instead of just asking:
“How? Can you teach me?”
They want to make themselves feel better by making my life sound impossible.
Some people don’t get it. And honestly? They don’t have to. And that’s okay.
Why? Because they have a story too. I only know 2% of their life—and that’s the 2% they tell me. So I stay out of trying to figure it out. I don’t take it personally.
I do what I need to do for me and my family.
The greatest gift I gave myself?
I stopped taking things personally. (That’s a blog for another day.)
I used to justify how I could get so much done without burning out.
I used to explain away my strengths like they were something to be ashamed of.
Like I had to apologize for being driven, for being on fire, for being consistent.
People would try to prove I wasn’t who I said I was—searching for flaws, and finding none that stuck.
Guess what?
I have flaws. Plenty.
But most of them were forged in fire—born out of that same hunger I used to downplay just to make others feel comfortable.
I have off days too. We all do. But here’s what I know for sure:
How you show up in this world—matters.
And I choose to show up with intention, even when it’s hard.
He wired me for more.
He’s the center of everything.
I walk in that—boldly.
I honor Him with how I live and what I do with what He gave me.
I’m not just surviving—I’m building something beautiful.
And I have the margin to actually enjoy it.
I used to hustle until 2am, saying yes to everything because I could.
And while I managed it, my husband and kids were paying the price.
Eventually, I did too—even when I didn’t want to admit it.
So I shifted.
And now:
👉 I have more because I do less.
👉 I choose who and what I say “yes” to.
Sometimes that’s hard—because there are so many amazing people doing amazing things. But everything has a season. And there is always a YES waiting for you.
Have a meeting with yourself.
Get real. Get honest. Ask:
Why do things need to change?
Why do I need more white space?
What’s suffering because I’m too full?
Step 1: Draw 4 circles. These are your top priorities.
(Faith, Family, Health, Business—whatever matters most.)
Step 2: Around the circles, list everything you’re doing.
Driving. Cooking. Gardening. Volunteering. Emails. Socials. Events. All of it.
Step 3: Draw a line from each task to the circle it supports.
If it connects—highlight it.
If it doesn’t? That’s clutter.
Step 4: Let it go.
Because every YES that’s not aligned…
is a NO to what actually matters.
You don’t need to do less. You just need to do what matters.
I’m not superhuman. I’m just intentional.
I’ve got spinning plates, dirt on my hands, a full calendar—and a peaceful heart.
Because I’ve learned how to protect my white space.
So if you're feeling overwhelmed and overcommitted…
📌 Take back your time.
📌 Clear the clutter.
📌 Breathe again.
👉 Ready to create space that fuels your life instead of drains it?
